Mohd Shami picked up a 4-wicket haul, but the Aussies still managed to post 263 on the first day of the Delhi Test.

While Usman Khawaja held the first half of the innings with his 82, Peter Handscomb shepherded the lower-order with his 72 as the visitors added 96 runs for the final 5 wickets.

While Ashwin and Jadeja both picked 3 wickets apiece, the pick of the bowlers surprisingly was Mohd Shami, who finished with figures of 4/60.

Jadeja, who took the wicket of Khawaja, thanks to a sensational catch from KL Rahul, completed 250 wickets in Test cricket. He became the fastest Asian cricketer to do the double of 250 wickets & 2500 runs in the longest format.

Ashwin too made a record of his own, becoming only the second bowler after Anil Kumble to take 100 wickets in India-Australia Tests.

While India did come out to bat for 9 overs in the final hour, Rohit & Rahul emerged unscathed to take the home side to 21/0.
