Jadeja, who took the wicket of Khawaja, thanks to a sensational catch from KL Rahul, completed 250 wickets in Test cricket. He became the fastest Asian cricketer to do the double of 250 wickets & 2500 runs in the longest format.
Ashwin too made a record of his own, becoming only the second bowler after Anil Kumble to take 100 wickets in India-Australia Tests.
While India did come out to bat for 9 overs in the final hour, Rohit & Rahul emerged unscathed to take the home side to 21/0.
