Rohit Sharma's resilient batting display along with Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel's unbeaten fifties helped India continue their dominance on the second day of the 1st Test against Australia.
India finished Day 2 at 321 for 7 at stumps with a lead of 144 runs over the Aussies.
Australia too did a decent job with the ball by picking up wickets at regular intervals but sturdy knocks from the likes of Rohit, Jadeja and Axar put India in the driver's seat at the end of the day.
Todd Murphy bagged a fifer, becoming the youngest Australian spinner to take a 5-wicket haul on debut.
Earlier, Jadeja's five-wicket haul had helped India bowl out Australia for just 177 in the 1st innings.
