Sir Ravindra Jadeja is back with a bang!

While the Nagpur pitch dominated headlines before the start of the first Test, it was Jadeja who stole the limelight on the opening day.

The Indian all-rounder, who was playing his first international match since the Asia Cup last year, bamboozled the Aussies with his sensational bowling performance.

The left-arm spinner picked up his 11th 5-wicket haul in Tests, finishing with figures of 5/47 as the visitors were bowled out for just 177. His 5-fer included key wickets of Marnus Labuschagne & Steve Smith - the top scorers for the visitors in the first innings.

His spin partner, Ravichandran Ashwin, also reached the landmark of 450 wickets in the innings. Ashwin finished with 3/42 to take his Test tally to 452 scalps.
