They say that old habits die hard and it's certainly the case with Virat Kohli. The king is back to doing what he does best and is scoring centuries for fun. The 34-year-old smashed his 46th ODI hundred in the 3rd ODI vs Sri Lanka and is now just three tons away from equalling Sachin Tendulkar's record.
Apart from that, with over 12600 runs, Virat is now the 5th highest run-scorer in the history of ODI cricket. It was also Kohli's 10th hundred vs Sri Lanka, the most he has scored against a particular team.
When Virat scored his 1st international hundred in almost 3 years in the Asia Cup game vs Afghanistan last year, the world knew that the King had returned.
The moment he tasted success again, there was no looking back. King Kohli ended 2022 with a hundred in an ODI vs Bangladesh and started new year with another ton vs Sri Lanka in the 1st ODI. He continued his dominance and backed it up with another century in the final ODI of the series.
The Delhi lad has now scored 74 international hundreds and is once again marching towards Sachin's record of 100 career centuries.
