The BCCI on Wednesday announced Team India's squad for the T20I series vs the West Indies.
As expected, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma weren't a part of the 15-member squad as youngsters earned call-up for the 5-match series.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma were rewarded for a consistent domestic season and an impressive IPL 2023 as both batters were included.
Hardik Pandya will lead the Men in Blue while Suryakumar Yadav has been named as his deputy.
However, Rinku Singh, who many experts believed to be a sure-shot, didn't make the cut.
Senior bowlers in Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj were also rested as Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, Mukesh and Arshdeep Singh form the pace department.
The 5-match T20 series starts on August 3, in Trinidad.
