Yashasvi Jaiswal finally found his mojo back and smashed his 2nd IPL hundred to help Rajasthan Royals thrash the Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets on Monday.
Hardik Pandya's decision to bat first backfired as Mumbai found themselves wanting at 20/3. That's when Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera steadied the ship with a 99-run partnership.
While Tilak top-scored with 65, Wadhera missed a well-deserved fifty by just 1 run. However, with no support from the other batters meant that MI settled for 179/9.
Sandeep Sharma was the pick of the bowlers as he grabbed his maiden 5-wicket haul.
It proved to be a cakewalk for the hosts as they chased down the target with 8 balls to spare.
Jos Buttler scored 35 but it was Jaiswal and Sanju Samson who tamed the bowlers and guided Rajasthan to their 7th win in 8 outings with an unbeaten 109-run partnership.
While the skipper scored a fluent 38 not out, Jaiswal stood tall with an unbeaten 104 off just 60 balls.
It was the last match in Jaipur and it proved no less than a fortress for the Royals as they won 4 of their 5 matches at this ground this season.
Mumbai on the other hand were handed their 5th loss in 8 matches.
