Prabhsimran Singh's 20-ball 54 along with a 93-run partnership with Jonny Bairstow was monumental in a record run-chase for the Punjab Kings versus Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.
Singh was the victim of an unfortunate run-out even as the batter look set to take his team over the finish line.
The Shashank Singh-Jonny Bairstow duo managed to clinch victory with 8 balls to spare, Punjab's first in many games after several close-call finishes not in their favour.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Prabhsimran Singh asserted that the team's atmosphere is very good, despite the losses they have faced.
'Obviously when you lose close games, you feel (upset). We have Shikhar (Dhawan) paaji, head coach (Trevor Bayliss), and Sanjay (Bangar) bhai is also around, they all motivate us because they are aware about how capable our team and that if we bat well, we will definitely win. So, the atmosphere is not bad, it's good,' Singh told reporters.
