Axar Patel displayed epic power-hitting skills in the death overs as Delhi Capitals (DC) snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 2 of IPL 2022. Axar's power-hitting was ably supported by Lalit Yadav as the duo scored 75 runs off the 30 balls to take Delhi over the line.

Chasing a 178-run target, Delhi were tottering at 72-5 in the 10 Overs before Shardul Thakur's 22-run blitz put DC's chase on course. Lalit held on to one end as wickets kept tumbling from another end. Delhi Capitals needed 28 runs off the last 18 deliveries and Axar, Lalit combo smashed 24 runs in the 18th overs, keeping only 4 runs to win in 12 deliveries. Axar smashed a boundary off Bumrah to overhaul the target with 10 balls remaining.
