Fan rivalries are common on social media, but it's rare to see players and experts themselves participating in these digital battles. Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ambati Rayudu's recent Instagram post, mocking Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) following their loss in the IPL Eliminator against Rajasthan Royals (RR), has taken the internet by storm. Rayudu, who was disheartened when RCB eliminated CSK earlier in the season, found an opportunity to hit back at the Bengaluru franchise after their 4-wicket defeat against the Royals.

Rayudu’s Instagram post, shared a day after RCB's four-wicket loss at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, featured a video with the caption, "Just a kind reminder from the 5 time champions." The video showed several CSK players holding up five fingers, symbolizing the number of IPL titles CSK have won. Although the video was from the previous season, Rayudu cleverly used it to mock RCB with an additional caption, "Sometimes a gentle reminder is required."

Earlier, Rayudu had also said: "If you talk about RCB, it shows that only passion and celebration don't win you trophies. You don't get the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. Don't think you will win the trophy just by beating CSK".

Rayudu’s social media post underlines the fierce competition and intense rivalries that define the IPL. His message, filled with subtle taunts and pride, was a reminder of CSK's legacy and dominance in the league. For Rayudu, seeing RCB ousted from the tournament was clearly a moment of satisfaction, especially after CSK's earlier loss to them.

Previously, CSK pacer Tushar Deshpande also mocked RCB after their defeat to Rajasthan Royals. Deshpande’s Instagram story, which was later deleted, echoed the feelings of many CSK fans, who took to social media to celebrate RCB's elimination.
