After making Kolkata Knight Riders the champion of IPL 2024 under his mentorship, Gautam Gambhir has opened up on his camaraderie with Virat Kohli. Both the players ended their long-standing dispute in this year's IPL and hugged each other during the KKR vs RCB game.
Gambhir spoke openly about his relationship with Virat. He said that his relationship with Virat is such that the country doesn't need to know.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, Gambhir said, "The perception is far away from the reality. My relationship with Virat Kohli is something this country doesn’t need to know. He has as much right as I do to express himself and help our respective teams win. Our relation is not to give masala to the public."
During an event at PUMA in April this year, Kohli also addressed the hug, stating, "My actions have greatly disappointed people." I embraced Naveen, and recently, Gauti bhai (Gautam Gambhir) embraced me. You are running out of masala, that's why you're complaining. We are no longer children.
