As the BCCI narrows down to pick India's 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh are certainties in the squad.
Interestingly, Rishabh Pant is also making a comeback to the Indian Team, according to a report in the PTI. The remaining 5 slots will be finalised based on the player's IPL 2024 performance in the first 4 weeks of the ongoing cash-rich league.
"There would not be any experimentation or left-field selections. All those who have played for India and have done well consistently in T20 Internationals and the IPL will be rewarded," the BCCI official was quoted as saying to the news agency.
The ICC has set May 1 as the cut-off date for the boards to announce their provisional squads and the BCCI is likely to finalise the Indian squad by the end of April.
