IPL 2022: 15th edition of the IPL to begin in last week of March, confirms the BCCI secretary

BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed on Saturday that the 15th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) will begin from the last week of March and run untill May end.


He added that the majority of the team owners wanted that tournament should be played in India and BCCI would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that IPL stays in India.

Jay Shah further stated that the BCCI has not compromised on the health and safety of its stakeholders in the past and will concurrently work on Plan B since the Covid-19 situation with new variants remain fluid. IPL mega Auction will take place on February 12-13th and we will lock in venues before that.
