India's former pacer Ajit Agarkar is set to hop on to the cash rich Indian Premier League journey with Delhi Capitals. The IPL franchise in a tweet on Wednesday announced that Ajit Agarkar has joined the Delhi Capitals coaching staff as an Assistant Coach.

The 44-year-old former cricketer who is getting into a coaching role for the first time will be a part of the leadership group that comprises head coach Ricky Ponting, skipper Rishabh Pant, batting coach Praveen Amre, and bowling coach James Hopes.
Agarkar who has broadcasting commitments for the upcoming India Sri Lanka series will enter the Capitals' bubble just after the conclusion of the series. DC has asked the domestic players to assemble in Mumbai around March 15.
Ajit Agarkar had represented India in 26 Tests, 191 ODIs and 4 T20Is. He also played 42 IPL games before hanging his boots in 2013.
