The much-awaited IPL 2022 is here.
BCCI on Sunday announced the schedule for the 15th edition of the lucrative league which is going to be a 10-team affair this time. The defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the first IPL game this season on March 26th at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The 2 new teams, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans will make their IPL debut against each other on 29th March at the Wankhede Stadium. While there will be 12 doubleheaders, the first will be played on 27th March when Delhi Capitals take on Mumbai Indians followed by Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

A total of 74 matches including the final and the playoffs will be played among the 10 teams which will take place in a span of 2 months. The final will be held on May 29th.
