Among the pool of emerging cricketers, this year Lucknow Super Giants' Mohsin Khan has been one of the best finds of IPL 2022. Though the 23-year-old UP-based cricketer did not get a chance to play in the upcoming 5-match T20 series against South Africa, he has impressed all with his amazing pace and approach.
Speaking to The Times of India, the LSG star who was the 2nd highest wicket-taker for the new franchise said that while he was with Mumbai Indians for 3 years, the stars did not align for him there. But at LSG, the coaches and the skipper supported him and gave him opportunities to perform, and hence he has done everything to impress them and make an impact.
Khan had taken 14 wickets in 9 matches at an economy of 5.96 and feels that playing dot balls are very important. 'Dot balls lead to wickets' he said. At 5.5. Khan was IPL's most economical bowler in the powerplay this season. The seamer who picked 2 3-wicket hauls this season got the best figure against Delhi Capitals where he picked 4 wickets giving away just 16 runs.
