A clinical effort from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) helped them register their fourth win in IPL 2022 as they trounced Covid-hit Delhi Capitals by 91 runs at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday night.
Chasing a mammoth 209-run target, Delhi were off to a poor start as they lost both their openers inside the powerplay. Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Marsh, then, tried to steer Delhi innings but both got out in search of big hits.

After that, Delhi's innings fell apart and were finally bundled out for 117 runs. Moeen Ali was the most successful bowler for CSK with 3 wickets while Mukesh Choudhary, Simarjeet Singh and Dwayne Bravo chipped in with two wickets each.
Earlier, Chennai openers Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad stitched yet another century stand. Conway sent Delhi bowlers for a leather hunt. The southpaw added another 59 runs for the second wicket with Shivam Dube before he got dismissed for 49-ball 84. MS Dhoni displayed his vintage form in death overs and his 8-ball 21 runs blitz powered CSK to 208-6.
