The drama took place in the last over of the RR match when DC needed 36 off 6 balls to win the match and Rovman Powell smashed 3 consecutive sixes on the first 3 balls. However, DC felt that the next ball of the over was a no-ball, the umpires thought otherwise which apparently stirred up the controversy.
Pant aggressively asked his players to return to the dugout and later sent Praveen Amre to speak to the umpires who held on to their decision and eventually Delhi lost the match by 15 runs.
