Royal Challengers Bangalore's wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik has been reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League's (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team's Eliminator match against Lucknow Super Giants at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Wednesday.
In an official statement, IPL said, "Mr Karthik admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction."

Article 2.3 is related to the use of an audible obscenity during a match.
The statement did not provide much information and reason for the breach. However, RCB's cricketer scored a valuable unbeaten 37 runs off 23 balls to power RCB to 207/4 in the Eliminator against Lucknow which RCB won by 14 runs.
Dinesh Karthik has been recently selected for India’s upcoming home T20I series against South Africa following his excellent performance in IPL.
