After two dreadful seasons in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kuldeep Yadav has shone brightly for Delhi Capitals this season and emerged as a key bowler for his team. Kuldeep gave the credit for his successful run to Delhi's head coach Ricky Ponting and skipper Rishabh Pant.
He has picked a total of 13 wickets in 7 matches for Delhi and is currently the third-highest wicket-taker in IPL 2022.

Kuldeep Yadav feels due to the support from Delhi's coaching staff and skipper he got the freedom to express himself better. 'When, during my first practice session with Delhi Capitals, I spoke to head coach Ricky Ponting, he told me that I was bowling very well and he wants to see me play for DC in all 14 league matches. That conversation with him inspired me a lot', he added.
Kuldeep further praised Rishabh Pant's wicketkeeping skills and went on to say that the Delhi skipper is showing some resemblance of MS Dhoni's characteristics behind the stumps. He also credited Pant for his success with the ball this season. 'Wicketkeepers play a big role in the success of spinners. The credit for my performance in this IPL goes to Rishabh. Now we have a good rapport', he said.
