Australia and KKR's cricketer Pat Cummins equalled KL Rahul's record for the fastest half-century in IPL history. Cummins smashed 56 off 15 balls in the match against Mumbai Indians.
At one point, KKR were 101/5 and Mumbai Indians made a comeback after the team took the crucial wicket of KKR's Andre Russell. Cummins came in to bat in the 14th over and chased down the target of 162 with 24 balls to spare.

Cummins had to miss the first three matches in IPL 2022 due to the Australian tour of Pakistan. He completed his quarantine just a day before the game vs Mumbai as he got ready for his first game in IPL 2022.
With this half-century, Cummins equalled KL Rahul's record. KL Rahul smashed a half-century in 14 balls in IPL 2018 against DC.
Cummins also contributed with the ball and took two wickets, conceding 49 runs in his 4 overs. With this win, KKR now has 3 wins in 4 matches and are currently placed on top of the points table.
