With a revamped squad, Royal Challengers Bangalore is set to start their IPL campaign against Punjab Kings on Sunday. RCB had retained Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammad Siraj before the IPL mega auction and after the auction, the likes of Harshal Patel made it to the squad. However, Yuzvendra Chahal who had been serving the team for the last 8 years had to shift the franchise. With a base price of 2 crores, the leg-spinner was sold to Rajasthan Royals for ₹6.50 crores. RCB didn't bid on him for once.
Former Indian cricketer, Virender Sehwag wasn't impressed with this decision of RCB. He believed that the side will be missing him and letting him go is the biggest loss for the franchise.
In an interview with Cricbuzz, Sehwag expressed that Yuzvendra was the best bowler for RCB on small pitches. He used to be the most economical and the one with the most wickets. Sehwag feels that the entire responsibility will now fall on Siraj's shoulders.
Sehwag further said, If he was a part of RCB, he wouldn't have thought about letting go of Chahal.
