Rajasthan prolific finisher, Shimron Hetmyer has left the IPL 2022 bio bubble for the birth of his first child. The West Indies cricketer left for Guyana from Mumbai on Sunday morning following Rajasthan Royals' 6 wicket win over Punjab Kings. The 25-year-old batter however, will be back for the later part of the IPL. Before leaving Mumbai, Hetmyer said that his things were still in his hotel room.
Hetmyer has made a huge contribution in Rajasthan Royals' success this season. Eyeing a play-off position, the Sanju Samson led side is currently sitting on the 3rd spot in the IPL Points table. Even in their last match against PBKS, Hetmyer with his unbeaten 31-off-16 cameo took Rajasthan over the finish line. Hetmyer is RR's 3rd highest run-scorer with 291 runs in 11 matches, that he has collected at a strike rate of 166.
