MS Dhoni landed in Surat on Wednesday and joined Chennai Super Kings' camp that will start training from March 8 for the upcoming season of IPL 2022.
Few players including Ambati Rayudu also joined the camp. CSK chief executive officer Kasi Viswanathan told ESPNcricinfo that with the Chennai pitch clay-based, they decided to practise on wickets that will be similar to those in Mumbai and Pune. The overseas coaching staff led by head coach Stephen Fleming will be arriving around March 12, added Viswanathan.
Defending champions CSK is placed in Group B for the 15th edition of the IPL along with SunRises Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans.
