Yuzvendra Chahal became the first cricketer in IPL 2022 to take a hat-trick. Rajasthan's Chahal took hat-trick in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday.

In a thrilling over, Chahal first dismissed set batsman Shreyas Iyer who had scored 85 off 51 then he took the wickets of Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins. Over-all, Chahal took four wickets in 17th and his last over that turned the match in Rajasthan's favour. 40 for 5 wickets were Chahal's final figures.
Thanks to this stunning display, Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 runs. Chahal has taken 17 wickets in IPL 2022 and is currently the leader in the race for the Purple Cap.
