The Delhi Capitals avoided a major scare on Wednesday as they edged out the Gujarat Titans by 4 runs in a last-ball thriller to complete a double over Shubman Gill's men this season.
Put into bat, Delhi found themselves at 44/3 but that's when Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant got together and stitched a 113-run stand.
The DC skipper then went berserk and smashed an unbeaten 88 that included 30 runs in the last over to power his side to 224/4.
Sai Sudharsan took GT's run chase off to a perfect start and despite Gill falling for 6, Sudharsan smashed a 39-ball-65.
However, Gujarat lost wickets at regular intervals but David Miller kept them in the hunt with a fiery 55. Once he fell, it seemed that the game was done but Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore brought GT back from the dead as the equation boiled down to 11 required off the last 4 balls.
Mukesh Kumar though kept his cool as DC won by 4 runs and continued to revive their IPL 2024 campaign. They have now won 3 of their last 4 matches.
