Things got really tight in LSG vs MI match on Tuesday as IPL 2024 finally had a low-scoring thriller. Mumbai Indians gave it their all but it were the Lucknow Super Giants who had the last laugh and won a last-over game by 4 wickets.
KL Rahul's decision to bowl first was the right call as LSG restricted Mumbai to 144/7. MI were reduced to 80/5 but Nehal Wadhera and Tim David made sure their bowlers had something to fight for.
Chasing which, LSG lost Arshin Kulkarni for a golden duck but KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis stitched a 58-run partnership.
The skipper was out for 28 but Stoinis once again proved to be Lucknow's saviour with a match-winning 62.
LSG needed 29 runs off the last 5 overs but that's when momentum shifted a bit and the equation boiled down to 22 needed off 16 balls.
However, Nicholas Pooran kept his cool and took his side over the finish line in the last over.
While LSG have now won 3 of their last 4 games, MI were handed a hat-trick of defeats once again.
