Mumbai Indians are known to be slow starters but this time they aren't looking to start at all. Rajasthan Royals thrashed MI by 6 wickets to make it a hat-trick of wins in as many outings in IPL 2024.

Sanju Samson's decision to bowl first proved right as Trent Boult stunned the hosts with 3 wickets upfront.

Mumbai never recovered from that jolt as Yuzvendra Chahal choked them by picking 3 wickets himself, which restricted the 5-time IPL champions to a below-par 125/9 in 20 overs.

Rajasthan's run-chase began on a shaky note as they were reduced to 48/3 with Akash Madhwal claiming 2 of those.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Riyan Parag then stitched a 40-run stand before Madhwal claimed his 3rd to remove Ashwin.

Parag though continued with his rich form and powered his side to a 'Royal' win with an unbeaten 54, his 2nd-consecutive half-century of the season.

While Rajasthan became just the 2nd team to win an away game in 14 IPL 2024 games so far, Mumbai were handed their 3rd consecutive loss. They are yet to get off the mark.
