Gujarat Titans returned to winning ways on Sunday as they beat the Punjab Kings by 3 wickets to hand them their 6th loss in 7 games.
Sam Curran's decision to bat first was a little questionable but the home side racked up 52 runs for the opening wicket.
However, Punjab lost their way once the spinners came on to bowl. Sai Kishore was the pick of the bowlers as he rattled PBKS with 4 wickets.
Only 2 wickets went to pacers as the hosts were bundled out for a mere 142.
In reply, GT lost Wriddhiman Saha early but Shubman Gill steadied the innings with a gritty 35.
Gujarat had a mini batting collapse and lost half their side with 103 runs on the board.
But it was Iceman Rahul Tewatia once again who carried his side over the finish line with an unbeaten 36 in the last over.
As Punjab Kings lost yet another match at home, they now need to win all remaining games to stay alive in the competition.
