Travis Head has now made it a habit of destroying bowling attacks in the IPL as the Sunrisers Hyderabad opener tamed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers with his maiden hundred in the cash-rich league.

The southpaw from Australia went hell for leather from the very start and crossed the three-figure mark off just 39 balls.

It is now the fastest hundred for SRH. The record was previously held by David Warner, who achieved the feat in 43 balls back in 2017.

Not only that, it was overall the 4th quickest ton in IPL history. He bludgeoned 9 fours and 8 sixes before being eventually dismissed for 102.

This is not the first time that Head demolished a bowling attack in IPL 2024. In his very first game this season, Head smashed 62 at a strike rate of almost 260 against the Mumbai Indians, which laid the foundation for SRH to shatter the highest team total record in the IPL.

The night didn't start as SRH would have liked it to as Faf du Plessis won the toss and put the visitors into bat.

Knowing that they would need to put up a big total, Head took the responsibility of taking his side off to a fling start upon his shoulders and did the job beautifully.
