A fifty off just 16 balls, 107 without a wicket in the powerplay and 166 being chased down in just 9.4 overs. These may be unusual numbers for a few but for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, it was business as usual.
On a wicket where the Lucknow Super Giants batters found it tough to get going, SRH openers batted as if there was no tomorrow.
Travis Head blasted an unbeaten 89 while Abhishek Sharma smashed 75 not out as SRH chased down the target with 62 balls to spare.
Earlier, KL Rahul had opted to bat first but LSG's top order collapsed as the visitors found themselves at 66/4. Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran steadied the innings and helped LSG finish at 165/4.
However, Head and Abhishek let no Lucknow bowler settle in as they finished off the game with an unbeaten 167-run partnership.
SRH became the first team to chase down a target of over 160 inside 10 overs in IPL history. Apart from that, it was the highest total to be chased down inside 10 overs in men's T20s.
While LSG have now lost 2 games in a row, SRH returned to winning ways and did their playoff chances a world of good.
The result also meant that Mumbai Indians became the first team to be knocked out of IPL 2024.
