Delhi Capitals' Rishabh Pant's comeback year just keeps getting better and better.
After a disappointing start to the Delhi leg of the 2024 season, Pant led his side to a much-needed victory against a struggling Gujarat Titans.
With his blistering and unbeaten 88 off 43 deliveries, Pant alongwith Tristant Stubbs and Axar Patel took his team to a mammoth 224 while also amassing 300 runs in an IPL edition for the first time in two years.
Speaking after the post-match presentation, Pant admitted that he feels better every time he steps onto the field, 'Everyday that I'm in the middle, I feel better. Every hour on the field matters, I love being on the field.'
The prolific southpaw went on to add, 'I try to give it my 100% and it takes some time sometimes. I think the first six in the match gives me the confidence in a game. The more time I spend in the centre, the better I feel.'
Pant's consistent show of strength in batting and keeping have also boosted his chances of making it to the 2024 T20 World Cup squad of India. And now, the 43-ball 88 seems to have all but sealed a spot for the 26-year-old.
