To avoid any hiccups during the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022), BCCI has put up one of the most strict bio-bubble rules for players, team officials, and family members.
The breach of bio-bubble protocols from players and team officials will attract seven-day quarantine followed by a one-match suspension for the second offense.
Moreover, the third breach will attract a permanent removal of the player from the squad with no replacement allowed. While if a team allows an outsider into the bubble, the franchise would be fined Rs 1 crore for the first offense and subsequent breach would lead to deduction of points.

Meanwhile, a bio-bubble breach by family members of a player or match officials will attract even stringent sanctions. Family members will have to go for a 7-day quarantine for the first offense while permanent removal from the bubble will take place for the second offense.
Notably, BCCI has restricted the IPL 2022 venues to only four that too in the same state to curb the spread of Covid-19 infection. IPL 2022 is set to become on March 26 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
