Chennai Super Kings handed a last-ball defeat to Hardik Pandya's men but despite the loss, Gujarat skipper put up a positive front during the post-match presentation.
Heaping praises on their opponents, Hardik said, 'CSK played better cricket.' He then went on to
give a special mention to his favourite senior MS Dhoni who led CSK to their fifth IPL title.
'I'm very happy for Dhoni. Destiny had this written for him. If I had to lose, I don't mind losing to him. Good things happen to good people,' Pandya concluded.
The legend MS Dhoni assured his admirers that as a 'gift from him for the fans' he would return to play another IPL season, 'The amount of love I have received from CSK fans, it would be a gift for them to play one more season.'
MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya share a good camaraderie, with the younger cricketer saying, 'I'll always be a Mahendra Singh Dhoni fan. You need to be a proper devil to hate Mahendra Singh Dhoni.'
