Report: BCCI to hold IPL 2022 in India without spectators

The BCCI will hold the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) in India, as per an ANI report, quoting top BCCI sources.

The report further read that IPL 2022 will be staged without spectators and the likely venues for the cash-rich event are the Wankhede Stadium, Cricket Club of India (CCI), DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai with Pune also on the list if needed.

However, BCCI is yet to officially announce whether IPL 2022 will take place in India or not.

The last season of the IPL had to be postponed mid-way due to Covid-19 breaching several team camps and the the second half of the league was held in the UAE.
