The Knight Riders group announced on Thursday that they have acquired their 4th T20 league franchise, Abu Dhabi franchise in UAE's latest T20 league.
In a statement, KKR's co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan said, "For several years now, we have been expanding the Knight Riders brand globally and closely watching the potential for T20 cricket in the UAE. We are excited about becoming part of UAE's T20 League, which no doubt will become hugely successful."

The group now owns four T20 franchises, 2-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League since 2008, Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League since 2015 and recently the group made a significant investment in Major League Cricket in the USA.
The UAE’s T20 League is a franchise-based T20 cricket event in which 6 teams will be competing in a 34-match tournament.
