Mumbai Indians' opening batter Ishan Kishan was spotted wearing a superman costume at the Mumbai airport recently. While it left many guessing as to why he wore that unique outfit while traveling, the actual reason has now been revealed.
According to a new initiative by the Mumbai Indians, if any player comes late for meetings, they need to wear a Superman outfit when they travel next time. Kishan was punished for coming late to a team meeting.
Not just Kishan but Shams Mulani, Kumar Kartikeya and Nuwan Thushara were also made to wear superman jumpsuits and travel in that outfit.
It's not the first that the 5-time IPL champions have done something like this. During IPL 2023, Akash Madhwal, Nehal Wadhera and Cameron Green were also reprimanded for indiscipline and they were made to wear hilarious jumpsuits. Back then, those jumpsuits had mugshots of all Mumbai Indians players printed all over them.
Ishan Kishan hasn't been in his fluent best in this season of the IPL so far. After getting out for a duck against the Gujarat Titans, the southpaw looked good against the Sunrisers Hyderabad but his innings was cut short on 34. He was out for 16 in the next match against the Rajasthan Royals.
