Rinku Singh's team may have be the losing side in a high-scoring clash versus Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens on April 16, but that did not deter the young batter from lauding his opponents for their win.
Jos Buttler & Co. chased down a mammoth 224, a game which went down to the last ball of the game, to clinch a top-of-the-table game over the Knights.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Singh called it a stroke of luck supported by some good cricket that worked in favour of the Royals.
'Our team is playing very well. Some matches don't go as you hoped and planned but it's okay. We have to see how the other team, the Rajasthan Royals played. They played very well. Both teams played good cricket but in the end, luck also plays a major role,' Singh stated.
He also provided an update on his minor niggle that has been keeping him off the field during KKR's bowling.
'It is a small niggle so I was not fielding but for the next match on April 21, I will field,' the batter confirmed.
