Star batter Virat Kohli was missing from the roster of Team India players that departed for the USA to take part in the T20 World Cup.
Rohit, Ravindra Jadeja, and other players were seen with head coach Rahul Dravid and the rest of the support staff. However, Virat Kohli was missing from this gathering.
The 35-year-old was originally planning to go with the team, but the trip has been postponed. Reportedly, Kohli will leave for New York on May 30 along with the second group of the Indian team due to a delay in his paperwork.
Apart from Kohli, the vice-captain Hardik Pandya is also not part of the first group of players. Hardik is currently in London and is expected to join the team there without any detours. India will begin their journey on June 4 with a match against Ireland and then face Pakistan in New York 5 days later.
There's also a chance that Kohli may not play India's only warm-up match against Bangladesh and could directly feature during India's first match against Ireland on June 4.
