Two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist Sanjita Chanu has been provisionally suspended by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) after she failed a dope Test at Gujarat National Games in September-October last year.
According to a Times of India report, Sanjita's urine sample returned positive for drostanolone after she secured a silver medal in the women's 49kg category at the National Games.
The 29-year-old weightlifter will be banned for 4 years if she is found guilty by NADA's anti-doping disciplinary panel.
