Aditi Ashok achieved golfing greatness on Sunday.
She won a historic silver medal in women's golf in Asian Games 2023 to become the first Indian woman ever to win a medal in golf in any edition of the games.

A second-place finish on the podium was still a little heartbreaking as the entire nation anticipated a Gold medal from Aditi Ashok after she went into the final day of women's golf in Asian Games 2023 at the number 1 spot.

However, gold medal hopes came crashing down as Aditi had an average final day and finished with a silver medal.

Moreover, the trio of Aditi Ashok, Avani Prashanth and Pranavi Urs came close to a historic Asian Games medal in the women's team even but it was not to be.

At the conclusion of Round 3, the women's team held the Gold medal position. However, a setback during the round, particularly for Aditi Ashok, coupled with limited support from the other two golfers, resulted in India slipping out of podium contention.

Never the less, a super effort helped Aditi become the first Indian golfer to win an individual medal since 2002.
