Indian archers were on a roll in Asian Games 2023.

While Asia's number 1 compound archer Jyothi Surekha Vennam clinched a gold medal each in the Women's Compound individual, Women's Team and Mixed Team events, World Champion Ojas Pravin Deotale also replicated the feat.

He won a gold each in Men's Compound Individual event, Mixed Team event and Men's Team event.

Both Jyothi and Ojas reflected on their successful Asian Games campaigns.

'I'm very happy with what I achieved. I was able to achieve that satisfaction. Winning 3 Gold medals also makes me extremely happy. I'm thankful to all those who supported and encouraged me throughout my journey,' said Jyothi.

'I came here with the motive of winning a gold for India but returning with 3 Gold medals feels like a dream.'

Both archers also reflected on India accomplishing the 'mission 100 medals' at Asiad 2023.

'Firstly, I would like to congratulate other sportspersons as well. The dream came true because of their hard work as well. 100 is a very huge number for India and it feels very proud that India is growing,' Ojas added.

'Extremely happy that India did so well this time. I would like to congratulate all the athletes who won medals. And for those who didn't, I would like to wish them all the best for future events,' concluded Jyothi.
