India added 3 more medals to their tally on day 3 of the Asian Games, with gold in the Equestrian dressage team event, while 2 medals - silver and bronze came in Sailing.
In the Equestrian Dressage Team event, India made history, winning their first medal in the sport at the Asian Games after 41 years. Anush Agarwalla and Hriday Chheda along with Divyakriti Singh and Sudipti Hajela topped the event with a total score of 209.25. China finished second with 204.882 points.
Agarwalla and Chheda were the top performers for India and are currently second and third in the individual rankings after day 1 of the dressage event.
In Sailing, Neha Thakur clinched silver in the Girl's Dinghy - ILCA 4 category. It was India's first medal in sailing in this edition. The 17-year-old ended with a net total of 27 points in 11 races. India's Eabad Ali then finished third in the Men’s Windsurfer RS:X event to clinch another medal, a bronze, in Sailing.
Hosts China are the runaway leaders at the top of the medal tally with a total of 95 medals, 53 of them Gold. South Korea with 14 gold is second, followed by Japan in third with 8 Gold medals.
India are 6th with 13 medals, 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 6 Bronze medals.
