Serbian superstar Novak Djokovic who returned to Melbourne after missing last year received a rousing welcome at the Rod Laver Arena where he defeated Spain's Roberto Caballes-Baena in straight sets of 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 in 122 minutes.
The nine-time Australian Open champion played his first match at Melbourne Park following last year's COVID-19 vaccine-related deportation.
The fourth seed is through to the second round after his victory over Roberto Caballes-Baena.
