The bitter war of words between Wrestler-turned-politician Babita Phogat and Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik, who is at the forefront of the protest against Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh continues.

Phogat after her lengthy tweet has now responded to Sakshi Malik in a video which she shared on her social media page. Babita captioned the video as 'the original truth' wherein she again countered Sakshi's claims of 'not being involved in politics'.

She said, 'The baseless allegations levelled by my friend Sakshi Malik on me, I would like to say that there is a saying that one should not believe what is seen by the eyes and what is heard by the ears. This proverb is based on the words of Sakshi's. For the permission letter that my sister Sakshi is showing, I do not have my signature anywhere and there is no such direct evidence anywhere. And don't play with the sensibilities.’

Questioning her allegiance to Congress politicians, Babita once again called her a Congress puppet. She said, 'as the sister is saying in the video that political allegations are being made against us and we are being accused by taking the name of Deepender Hooda, so till date, Sakshi sister, no Congress party spokesperson has given a statement on her nor has some leader of the Congress party have given a statement in defence. Despite this, you are giving answers to every person to counter them. I do not understand whether you are taking the wrestlers’ side or you are giving statements as the spokesperson of Congress'

Babita had earlier also reacted sharply to Sakshi and her husband Satyawart Kadian's 11-minute-long video where they clarified that Congress did not instigate their protest against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
