Indian boxer Parveen Hooda stormed into women's 57kg semifinals after thrashing Uzbekistan's pugilist 5:0 in Asian Games 2023.

With that, she also secured India's quota in the Women's Boxing in the 2024 Paris Olympics in the same category.

Apart from her, Nikhat Zareen (50kg) and Preeti Pawar (54 kg) are the other women boxers who have secured an Olympic Quota.

Jaismine Lamboria on the other hand found herself in a tough bout and went down to North Korean pugilist in the 60kg category. She also missed out on the Olympic quota in Asian Games.

Jaismine was on top in Round 1 but things took a turn in Round 2 as Won Ungyong won the bout by referee stoppage just 1 second before the end of the second round.
