'Feeling strong and ready' - Neeraj Chopra confirms participation in Lausanne Diamond League

Olympic Champion Neeraj Chopra, who missed the Commonwealth Games due to injury, has confirmed his participation in the Lausanne Diamond League.


The World Championships Silver medalist took to Twitter to confirm his participation. He wrote, 'Feeling strong and ready for Friday. Thanks for the support, everyone. See you in Lausanne!'

The Lausanne event will decide the top-six finalists for the Diamond League final that will be held in Zurich on September 6 and 7. Chopra is currently 4th after his second-place finish at the Stockholm Diamond League.

The Indian star will return to the field in Switzerland on Friday, having missed the Birmingham Games due to a groin strain he suffered during his 2nd place finish at the World Championships last month.
