It was the perfect start to 2023 for Red Bull, with Max Verstappen & Sergio Perez taking one-two in the season-opening Bahrain GP.
Mexico's Sergio Perez finished 11.9 seconds behind his two-time world champion teammate Verstappen, who led from start to finish.
Ferrari, on the other hand, had another troubled start. Chales Leclerc, who was running third, couldn't finish the race due to an engine failure. To rub salt into their wounds, Carlos Sainz Jr. was then overtaken by the veteran double-world champion Fernando Alonso.
7-time winner Lewis Hamilton finished fifth in his Mercedes, with his teammate George Russell 7th, behind Lance Stroll in his Aston Martin.
