India will host its first-ever Formula E World Championship race on February 11 in Hyderabad.
Speaking to the news agency PTI, India's first F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan reckoned that the Formula E championships will provide the much-needed buzz to the stagnating motorsport in the country.
However, Karthikeyan feels that a lot more needs to be done for the sport to flourish in India.
India last hosted a major motorsport event back in 2013, when the third Indian Grand Prix Formula 1 race was held in Greater Noida.
