French Open 2023: Casper Ruud beats Alexander Zverev to meet Novak Djokovic in final

Casper Ruud returned to the French Open 2023 final for the 2nd straight year after decimating Germany's Alexander Zverev in the men's singles semi-final on Friday.

The dominant 24-year-old Norwegian defeated the World No. 2 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 in 2 hours and 3 minutes to set up a showdown with the Serbian star Novak Djokovic.

The World No. 3 had moved a step closer to his record 23rd Grand Slam title after he registered a thrilling victory over Spanish's Carlos Alcaraz. 

Ruud who was handed a defeat by Rafael Nadal during the last year's French Open final will now look to lift his first Grand Slam on June 11.
