India and Malaysia played out a 3-3 draw in Hockey Asia Cup 2022 at the GBK Sports Complex Hockey Stadium in Jakarta.

Malaysia dominated the first two quarters and took a two-goal lead. India made a brilliant comeback in the next half. Vishnukant Singh, SV Sunil and Nilam Sanjeep scored back-to-back goals for India to help the team take the lead. But Malaysian player Razie Rahim's equaliser in the last 5 minutes spoiled India's plans. Interestingly, Razie Rahim scored all three goals for Malaysia.

Earlier, India beat Japan 2-1 in their first match of Super 4s on Saturday evening. After this draw, India remained at the second spot of the Super 4s with 4 points.

India will next face South Korea on 31st May.
